Young Adult LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers) Program

The Young Adult LINC program is a dynamic English as a Second Language program for immigrants between the ages of 18 and 24. We recognize that young immigrants have different interests and needs than do adults who attend regular LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) classes.

The focus is on developing English skills while also enhancing learning strategies and academic skills for further study or employment. Learners study full-time, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:45 pm. Classes run from September through June.

Young Adult LINC is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and is a grateful partner of the Calgary Achievement Centre for Youth. The program is administered through Viscount Bennett Centre LINC, which is part of Chinook Learning Services. For more information call 777-6821.
